A few details.
What should I send for mastering?
A WAV or AIFF at the native sample rate, preferably 24-bit or 32-bit float, without clipping. Remove the final loudness limiter unless it defines the artistic sound. You may include a limited reference. No fixed −6 dB headroom target is required.
What should I send for mixing?
Consolidated WAV stems exported from the same timestamp at the native sample rate, preferably 24-bit or 32-bit float. Keep intentional creative effects; optional dry versions can help. DAW sessions and plugin-dependent project files are not accepted.
How do revisions work?
Leave timestamped notes on the version in your workspace. Several notes on one version belong to the same revision round. Revisions refine the current work; new recordings, replacement stems or major arrangement changes need a separate scope agreement.
When does turnaround start?
Only after payment, usable source files and the necessary brief are complete. Working estimates use Monday–Friday excluding applicable Norwegian public holidays. Rush delivery will be offered only when capacity can support it; it is not currently available in this preview.
What will I receive?
Mastering and Mix + Master are intended to include a 24-bit WAV and a 320 kbps MP3 convenience copy. Mixing delivers your finished mix. Reasonable alternative exports can be discussed without unnecessary add-ons.
Who owns the music?
You retain ownership of your song and master. Mixing and mastering do not give VARENNE songwriting, publishing or royalty shares. Beat licenses have their own separate terms. Portfolio use requires your separate permission.
What about a large session?
The working mixing scope is approximately 50 stems. For complex sessions, albums or unusual requests, contact VARENNE for a custom quote before ordering.
